Good morning friends, today I thought I'd talk about tools that can be useful in these times when classes are only possible online - at least in most of Europe.

My philosophy has always been not to follow strictly any textbook but to prepare materials and activities adapted to each student or groups, focused on conversational skills, using my own resources or adapting - or using as they are - many of the true geniuses that many of you generously propose in your blogs. That is why today I want to be the one to propose a tool that is especially useful when we cannot use cardboard boards on the table because the classes are online, using a computer or a tablet; or for those who follow my daily motto of avoiding paper consumption as much as possible.

By means of programming (HTML in this particular case) it is possible to turn the dice or paper cuttings into a game to provide randomly words of different categories that the students will have to combine to build correct sentences. We have several versions, freely accessible on our website, the latest and most complete (www.linguarnia.com/tool2) allows to propose at random a verb, a noun, an adjective and an adverb; with the possibility of choosing between English and Spanish.

Combining this utility with online class platforms such as WEBEX (free and from the company Cisco www.webex.com) in which both teachers and students can share and manipulate the screen to choose new words, classes are more interactive and fun.

I wish you  a lot of  courage, patience and creativity in these times of isolation!
